First, cut a 8.5x5 inch piece out of your selected fabric. ( Iron first if any wrinkles ) |
Turn fabric upside down, then fold the top down toward the middle. ( "hotdog" style ) |
fold the bottom toward the middle overlapping the first fold just a little |
take one of the sides and fold it in toward the middle ("hamburger" style). |
secure the fold with a dot of hot glue or fabric glue (so the fold doesn't come undone) |
put a small amount of hot glue or fabric glue on the corners and fold them over |
put a small amount of hot glue or fabric glue on top of the glued side and pull the other flap over |
fold the corners of the second flap, just like the first, this is how the fabric should look so far |
turn the fabric over, this is how the other side should look. Set this piece to the side |
Next, cut another piece of fabric, about 1,5x6 inches |
fold the piece into itself 3 times (Optional: iron piece to prevent it from unfolding). Sit this piece to the side and pick up the beginning piece. |
With this piece right-side-up, scrunch to get the desired creases |
This is how it should look so far |
wrap the smaller piece around the main bow piece, turn to the back and tie a know |
tighten the knot (remember the knot should be on the back) |
push a clip through the knot |
WALA MAGIC you have yourself a bow!!! |
